Get Your Creative Juices Flowing at The Caepe School's Visual Arts Classes

According to a recent Tufts University Study, creativity is just as important as intelligence to a child's success. To help foster that creativity, The Caepe School is introducing Visual Arts Instruction as part of its Community Connection programs. These classes are open to anyone interested in participating in quality Visual Arts instruction. Programs available this session are:

Introduction to Visual Arts - These six-week, all levels courses will focus on the fundamentals of drawing. Students will learn shading composition, perspective and spatial relationships. A variety of media will be used, including artist-grade pencils, quality paper, kneaded erasers, charcoal and prisma color. Each student will work at their own pace and be introduced to the work of many relevant artists. Students will learn terminology, art history and critiquing methods. Adult classes are from 1:30-3:00pm on Mondays, November 2-December 7; classes for students aged 8-12 take place between 3:45-5:15pm on Tuesdays, November 3 until December 8; and classes for students aged 12-16 will occur between 3:45-5:15pm on Thursdays, November 5 until December 10.

Visual Arts - The goal of this class is to help children develop new forms of expression, build self-esteem and learn to think creatively. This course will incorporate a variety of projects including working with clay, landscape, cartoons and more. This class is open to students in grades Kindergarten through 8th, starts Wednesday, November 4 and goes until December 9 and costs $150.

A one-time Gallery Registration Fee of $100 includes materials and an individual portfolio case to store and transport artwork. All classes are taught at The Caepe School's Art Studio
