The Caepe School Adds Sports Program for Fifth-Eighth Graders
New Athletic and Physical Education Program Leader Announced
The Caepe School's 5th-8th -graders will have something new to look forward to this school year: a seasonal sports program. It is expected that the students will be able to participate in seasonal sports as members of the Mountain Valley Athletic League. The school will form teams, hold regular practices and then compete with other private schools in the League. A Caepe spokesperson says, "We are very excited about this new dimension to our school program and look forward to the athletic opportunities it represents for our students.It also appears that we'll be selecting a school mascot even sooner than expected."
In addition to the sports program, students will also be enjoying a fun and dynamic new P.E. program under the direction of new Caepe School staff member, Dr. Chris Wylie. This educational and certified school psychologist was awarded an NCAA Division One Basketball Scholarship at Northern Arizona University and has trained and competed in a full Ironman triathlon. Wylie has also competed in several Arizona triathlons and continues to train and compete in pro-level cycling races throughout the Southwest.
