TV Households Rise for Upcoming Season

Asian and Hispanic TV homes and older TV viewers are growing more than twice as fast as the nation as a whole, according to Nielsen, which reported that the total number of U.S. TV homes has grown 1.5 percent since the 2007-2008 TV season.

The total number of TV homes rests at 114.5 for the 2008-09 television season; the total number of people age 2-plus is at 290 million, writes MediaPost. Hispanic TV homes are up 4.3 percent, to over 12.6 million, while Asian TV homes jumps 4.4 percent, to more than 4.7 million. African American homes are up 2.2 percent to nearly 14 million.
