Happy New Year!

Well, it’s official — we can say goodbye to 2009. What a year, the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. There were many very exciting stories from 2009 and several of them were a great influence on the Agency. To name a few, there were several new clients added to our client roster and only a few that dropped off. That was very good news. We added some extremely talented staff to the Agency this past year and still have most of the familiar faces from 2008. From an overall perspective, I can’t complain! For that reason alone, I can say "Happy New Year".

It’s time for those annoying New Year’s resolutions. Okay, maybe not annoying, just another reminder of the things I wish for and strive to complete and often am reminded that I didn’t achieve the resolution. Luckily, I don’t make many. For those that know me, I am truly a type "A" personality, so does it surprise you that I live and breath by "To-Do Lists"? Therefore, my resolutions are made daily. With this, I rarely forget to do something that I need or want to do. Great strategy if you’re trying not to see a "failure" notice from your New Year’s resolution list.

Now that we’ve made it through the holiday season, I am anxious to hear the results of the consumer spending from the holiday period. I hope for all concerned that there was enough spent to give our economy another boost. If we’re looking for an example of how to spend, just look at what Uncle Sam has been doing. While the strategy might have saved us from the "Great Depression", I think it will be future generations who truly understand the root meaning of that word "Depression". Remember though, time heals everything. And perhaps we haven’t quite ruined it for future generations, we’ll figure out a way to assist in their security and happiness. That’s what retired folks do!

There are many signs that 2010 will be a better year. I understand that we have hit bottom on several of the economic indicators and now the barometers have only one place to go….Up. The housing market is showing strong recovery signs, the stock market continues to stay above 10,000 and unemployment hasn’t surpassed 10%. Isn’t this all great news? Absolutely!

Enclosed please find another quarterly newsletter that I hope you will find interesting and enjoy as much as we enjoy creating it for you. Stay tuned as the year unfolds and once again, Happy New Year.

With kind regards,
