Dear valued clients, vendors, colleagues and friends,
Imagine a time when communicating via “tweets” to be as acceptable as a good ole’ fashioned email. I found it almost humorous to read in today’s paper that Senator John McCain ranked highest in the political arena for “twittering”. Now that’s what I call progress. As many of you remember during the Presidential campaign, Senator John McCain was mercilessly ridiculed by Democrats as computer illiterate. He’s now taken like a teenager to Twitter, a cutting-edge social networking and “microblogging” site. Yes, it’s true even the most ardent adversaries to social networking have to get on the band wagon, and I suppose that means me as well.
We are embracing this new technology and seeing the benefits of the new form of communication. I remember a time, not many years ago, when we had to defend the need for a traditional website to our clients. They simply could not see the relevance of having such a tool and how it would benefit their businesses. Each client has a website now and each client understands that it’s their face to the world.
Some people are reticent to change, but ultimately see the need to stay current in the form of communication. Now it’s time to update those sentiments in terms of social media. It’s a whole new realm of communication and one that is proving to be very effective and efficient.
Every year at this time brings a fresh new beginning just as Spring brings new flowers and a host of new colors that blanket the earth. Let’s all put our new technology hats on and embrace this new form of communication, a communication that allows subscribers the ability to keep tabs on what friends, family members, clients and others interested in your voice are doing by joining communities such as Facebook, My Space, Twitter, etc.
As this newsletter is sent digitally, and previously only sent by snail-mail to all of our contacts, you can easily use its links to visit our website and be part of our electronic family community.
There’s much to be said both positive and negative about change but it’s often referred to as the only thing that stays constant.
Inside this quarterly newsletter you’ll find interesting information about many of the disciplines within advertising and communication that we hope you’ll find relevant to your daily lives and that you’ll think of us for any of your communications needs.
Here’s to a great Spring to all of our friends and supporters!
Sincerely,
